Founded on September 22, 1981, the University of Northern Iowa's chapter of the Society for

Human Resource Management (UNI-SHRM) is a student organization for students interested

in human resource management. It gives members a chance to network with professionals in the

field, visit human resource departments in great organizations, and participate in other career-

enhancing activities. Nationally affiliated, SHRM is the most widely recognized organization for

human resource professionals.
